The Loco Laptop from £299  

The Loco Laptop is a very neat and compact (ex-corporate) portable computer about the size of an A4 pad and includes a quality keyboard with full-size keys, hi-res colour display and, at the rear, ports to connect peripherals such as a printer and mouse. Thus the concept of the PCW "all-in-one" unit is preserved. However, the machine takes up very little desk space and is therefore ideal either a replacement for a PCW or as a second LocoScript-dedicated or backup PC. You should also be able to use any existing (MSDOS compatible) inkjet or laser printer. Power is provided by a mains adaptor/connector (cable supplied in box).

The Loco Laptop offers the Windows™ operating system together with a CD Rom drive. Add £30 for an internet and email connection. This powerful system allows you the option of going on to the web and running more modern software as well as LocoScript Professional 2/Plus.  A 3½" floppy drive is also supplied for the transfer and backup of data.                             

Please bear in mind that these ex-corporate machines have been subject to some amount of wear and tear and that the warranty doesn't cover minor or cosmetic defects such as small scratches to casing. Note that we do not guarantee the condition of the internal/portable batteries on these machines which are sold on the basis that will are run via mains power.

AMSTRAD OWNERS >  We can transfer PCW discs @ £2.50 each or competent users can add CPM Copier @£10 extra is required to read and copy 3½" PCW Discs on a PC.
