to the PC so you’ll be able to continue to use the familiar LocoScript
word processor and have access to all your LocoScript PCW documents and Loco
data files. Add a modern mono inkjet from just £99 for quick and
high quality printing.

Laptops

The Loco Laptop is a very neat and compact (ex-corporate) portable computer about the size of an A4 pad and includes a quality keyboard with full-size keys, hi-res colour display and, at the rear, ports to connect peripherals such as a printer and mouse. Thus the concept of the PCW "all-in-one" unit is preserved. However, the machine takes up very little desk space and is therefore ideal either a replacement for a PCW or as a second LocoScript-dedicated or backup PC. You should also be able to use any existing inkjet or laser printer.
The Standard Loco Laptop @£169 includes the MSDOS operating system and LocoScript PC preinstalled. Just plug in the supplied power cable, switch on and LocoScript automatically loads from the hard drive ready for use. A 3½" floppy drive is supplied for the transfer and backup of files.
Power is provided by a mains adaptor/connector (cable supplied).
The Advanced Loco Laptop @£269 offers the Windows 2000 (or XP) operating system together with a CD Rom drive. Add £30 for a 56K modem card+connecting cable for internet/email. This powerful system allows you the option of going on to the web and running more modern software as well as LocoScript.
Inkjet Printers @ £99
As
you know, LocoScript
is
an excellent word processor and as such deserves a top quality printer. We can
offer a Hewlett Packard compatible mono inkjet* @ just £99 extra with free
delivery if purchased at the same time as a Loco PC or Loco Laptop. It is quick,
quiet and includes a range of fonts styles and a built-in sheet feeder. Delivery
is free if ordered with a Loco Laptop PC. * Colour printing is possible from
Windowstm programs (only,
not LocoScript) with an optional colour printhead (our price @£19.95 extra).
Please Note that Loco PCs are standard IBM
compatibles which will run other MSDOS and/or Windows software as well as
LocoScript PC (with LocoFile, Mail and Spell) which is preinstalled on the hard
drive and ready for use. All LocoScript PCs are ex-corporate machines which are
fully checked and configured prior to despatch and are covered by our full
90-day LocoCover Return-to-Base warranty (extendable). UK Courier Delivery of a
Loco Laptop/printer is £39.95 and there is no VAT to add to our prices

We will even copy up to 5 x Amstrad discs or supply you with CP/M Copier to read

you'll also need our special Loco4to3 software (Available FREE with Windows
systems only). Internet connection
on the advanced model is provided via a pay-as-you-go local-rate dial-up service
(not suitable for Broadband). We do not guarantee the internal batteries of Loco
Laptops which are supplied for operation solely by mains power.
